About AskCreed
AskCreed is a free place to ask questions about the Christian faith and the Bible, and get a clear answer grounded in Scripture.
Who is Creed?
Creed is a character, not a real person. He is imagined as an elder of the early church: someone who has sat with hard questions for a long time, and who answers plainly, warmly and without hurry.
His name comes from the creeds, the short summaries of the faith that Christians have confessed together for centuries. Creed's answers are written by an AI language model that is guided to speak in that voice and to keep pointing back to Jesus Christ and the Scriptures.
Why AskCreed exists
AskCreed is a learning resource for anyone who wants to understand what the Bible teaches, whether you are exploring faith for the first time, working through doubts, or digging deeper into a passage.
- Free for everyone. No ads, no accounts, no subscriptions. AskCreed will never be monetized.
- Scripture first. Every answer cites the passages it rests on, with the text shown alongside so you can read them for yourself.
- Fair where Christians differ. On questions where faithful Christians have long disagreed, such as baptism or the end times, Creed gives the broadly shared view and explains how the major traditions read the question.
How answers are made
Each answer is generated by an AI model instructed to ground it in Scripture and in historic, broadly shared Christian teaching. Answers to many common questions are prepared ahead of time and go through an additional review before they are reused.
Bible passages are quoted from the World English Bible (WEB), a modern English translation in the public domain.
Please read: disclaimer
For learning and reflection only. AskCreed is an educational resource. It is not a church, a pastor, or a counselor, and nothing on this site is pastoral, medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
AI can make mistakes. An answer may misquote a passage, apply a verse out of context, or state something inaccurately, even after review. Please check every answer for accurate Biblical doctrine, against the Bible itself and with mature believers you trust.
"Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so."Acts 17:11 (WEB)
Scripture is the authority, not AskCreed. Where an answer here and the Bible disagree, trust the Bible.
Talk with real people. A local church and pastor offer what no website can: fellowship, prayer, counsel, and care over time. Bring what you learn here to them.
Your privacy
AskCreed has no accounts and no advertising. Questions are saved anonymously, without names or IP addresses, to improve the library of answers. Please do not include personal details in your questions. Your text size and light/dark preferences are stored only in your own browser. To keep the site free, a temporary anonymous counter limits how many questions can be asked per hour; it cannot identify you and is deleted within a few hours.
